FAQs
What services do you offer?
1
We offer relocation consulting and planning for western expats who are considering Da Nang as a long‑stay, part‑time, or retirement base.
Right now, we focus on two core service packages:
“Test the Water” – 2–12 Week Trial Stay
For couples and solo expats who want to put boots on the ground before making a big decision. This includes a custom Da Nang budget built with our Expat Budget Tracker, neighborhood and lifestyle recommendations, a pre‑arrival setup checklist, a trial‑stay plan (what to do in those first weeks), and light coordination with trusted local providers.“Smooth Landing in Da Nang” – 30–90 Day Transition
For those who’ve already decided Da Nang is the place and want a guided, low‑stress transition. This includes full long‑term budget design, housing strategy and sample options, healthcare and safety orientation, a detailed 30–90 day landing plan, community and routine integration, and enhanced coordination with our trusted local network.
Both packages include our Da Nang Expat Budget Tracker (sold separately for $99) at no extra charge, and both are delivered through one‑on‑one calls plus a clear written plan so you and your spouse can review everything at your own pace.
How do I get started?
2
The best first step is a 30‑minute Discovery Call with John & Vanessa.
On that call, you can:
Share your situation, timeline, and main concerns (especially around safety, housing, and healthcare).
Ask us anything about day‑to‑day life, cost of living, and how our support actually works.
Decide together whether Test the Water or Smooth Landing in Da Nang is the right next step—or if waiting makes more sense.
If you decide to move forward within 30 days, the full cost of your Discovery Call is applied to whichever package you choose, and we’ll include our $99 Da Nang Expat Budget Tracker free as part of that work

“We are already living the version of Da Nang life you’re considering, we speak the language on both sides of the ocean, and we’ve built a real, active community for you to land in.”
- John
Here’s what sets us apart:
We’re a married American couple already living the life you’re imagining.
We’re not a bare‑bones budget traveler trying to stretch savings and crypto, or a guy passing through on a fling. We’re a stable Gen X American couple who’ve already built our own “easy‑mode” life in Da Nang—right down to the grocery runs, clinic visits, heart meds, quán nhậu nights, happy‑hour deals, morning coffee delivery, beach days, and pickleball three to four times a week. When we advise you, it’s from the same stage of life and the same questions you have about safety, comfort, and long‑term fit.Vanessa is fluent in Vietnamese and understands both cultures.
Vanessa was born in Saigon, speaks Vietnamese, and understands how things actually work on the ground—while also knowing exactly how it feels to see Vietnam through Western eyes. That means you get more than Google‑Translate help; you get someone who can read the room, read the contract, and explain what’s really being said in a way you and your spouse can relax into. You’re stepping into a ready‑made community, not starting from zero.
We run an active community built around our Da Nang Expat Pickleball Club. This comes with a wider social circle of locals and expats who meet up regularly for games, meals, celebrations and everyday connection. You’re not just getting a plan on paper; you’re getting introductions to real people, so your first weeks here feel like joining a community, not wandering around a new city hoping to make friends.
Most relocation services can give you a checklist. We give you a life you can actually picture yourself in.
